As my this version of Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance comes to a close it's time to share with you how I tackled the immense and complicated epic that is Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance. Unlike the first time I tried to create an interpretation in which I added page for every twist and turn of the story as I came across it - even though I annotated a copy of John and Mary Brockington's Ramayana, I still managed to create over 5000 pages of comic that - though interesting left no help to the uninitiated the work could become incoherent for those unfamiliar with Rama and Sita's story.

They toil away under the supervision of Boss Sugriva and the architect Nala so not even a seagull can distract them from their work.

Beneath the waves

The oceans are shared by the strangest creatures as many seafarers will attest to, including none other than Sovaan Malacca whose name & statue adorns the local port town. 

As many a sailor and passenger has lost their lives to the mythological queen of the depths. A reluctant Hanuman whom until now has been so stout in his bravery reveals to Rama and Laksman what happened after the events on Lanka where he was overcome with rage and torment.

So sit back (in a dry and warm place) and enjoy the tale of Hanuman’s adventure 50 leagues under the waves.

The smell of sea air as our heroes make a return trip to the beach.

This time the Vanara are more numerous as Lanka is in sigh andRama and Laksman are joining them. After an entertaining evening at Pampa bar, everyone's in need of a bit of rest and relaxation by the calming ocean with Lanka on the horizon.

And whilst it took Hanuman all his strength to navigate across the strait by himself, there are many more Vanara who wish to demand their freedom from Ravana, and discover what lies buried beneath the sand that Tara, wife of Valin, believes could be source of the hauntings?

Is this a dead end for Rama’s and Laksman's mission to rescue their friend Sita?
