Netflix CEO and Chairman Reed Hastings was in Mumbai India this weekend ( 23- 24 February 2018) to attend the Economic Times Global Business Leaders Summit. In which he was highlighting the streaming service new Indian offerings. It is the company's most recent attempt to sell it service to the worlds second largest population.
He pointed to the Economic Times out in the interview that h is hopefully that India will deliver the subscription OTT service the next 100 million customers. The next 100 mn users of Netflix will come from India: Netflix CEO Reed Hastings.
He was enthusiastic that to avoid future misunderstanding that the world must comprehend each other differences and through its rich (Entertianment) culture could avert even War and that it is India, not China, with its rich cultural Hertiage could become a world leader in 'soft power'
