Brief Communication with John Brockington - Author of Rama The Steadfast

Readers of my blog will doubt remember me posting and adding a images of the book Rama the Steadfast: An Early Form of the Rāmāyaṇa (2006) that inspired and help me structure the Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance, and among all the books I've read in preparation and research before and whilst working on my unique interpretation I've always wanted to thank the authors; John and Mary Brockington who produced a new translation from the original Sanskrit.

As I prepare to go to France and pitch a TV series based on the Ramayana and my work, I thought that I should give a quick search for the authors - whom I imagine wouldn't be on the Internet as many academics aren't - too busy in their personal research and projects.

So it was quite surprising via the International Association of Sanskrit Studies with a profile of the Honorary Vice President John Brockington and his employee email address.

A quick and courteous email introducing myself to the HVP and Honorary Fellow of Edingburgh University telling him about my project past and ambitious future.

A reply arrived this morning with a thank you and a message fo the best of luck for the projects future. It was really kind and gave me a boost of confidence as I strike out by myself with this project.
