RAMAYANA AT MIPTV
I know that I promised to email every month with updates but in my defence I have been caught up in a lot of work.
Since completing my digital comic and celebrating various holidays and birthdays, I have taken up the task of developing Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance project into a TV series.
Unlike drawing and writing over 1300 pages of comics and artwork, which seems easy in comparison, creating a TV series based on the Indian and Asian Epic is not a walk in the park. I have been researching what goes into creating a modern TV series.
Whilst there is a constant demand for new and flashier content, it's hard getting noticed when you are based thousands of kilometres from major TV markets, like London, New York and Los Angeles. Although the internet (and a credit card) helps, I've realised that I will have to start talking to financiers, production professionals and commissioners in person.
So that's why I'm packing a rucksack and getting on a plane to Cannes, France :- known throughout the world as the home of Cannes Film Festival in June, it just happens also to house one of the world’s largest and most exciting TV festivals for professionals looking for hot and exciting TV content.
And Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance fits that bill.
I've booked my accommodation and set up meetings with executives representing channels and production companies from Asia and North America. I'm looking forward to talking about my project and future opportunities with Rama and Co.
If you take a trip to www.ramyan.net you'll see a refreshed site with new headings and landing page and lots of blog posts covering everything from equality to Black Panther and the BBC's new series Civilisations.
- How Disney Seeded the market for Black Panther Success
- Rider for Inclusion
- NATO demands for more diversity
