28.A MONSTER AWAKENS
How much punishment can HANUMAN continue to take? KING RAVANA's cruelty will unleash a force that not even SITA can imagine.
In between the harrowing scenes of torture this issue continues to recount the story of DASARATHA'S and KAUSALYA'S past in KISHKINDHA and their young charge HANUMAN, whose up bringing will provide clues of his future.
WE HEAD INTO THE THE FINAL FURLONG OF BEAUTY PART 2 ISSUE 5: GUIDANCE FROM THE THRON and all previous parts of Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance which have been released last year on RAMYAN.NET and FACEBOOK right now!
1. The formation of a word, as cuckoo, meow, honk, or boom, by imitation of a sound made by or associated with its referent.
2. a word so formed.
3. the use of imitative and naturally suggestive words for rhetorical, dramatic, or poetic effect.
One of the tasks of finishing an issue of Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance is adding sound effects to the artwork making the comic come alive in the minds of readers so I found the latest episode 'The Story of Oh!' English broadcaster Stephen Fry's BBC Radio 4 series Fry's English Delight enlightening this week as it covered the theme of onomatopoeia and featured comics artist Dave Gibbons of Watchmen fame talking about his consideration of using sound effects, such as Zap and Kapow, and how they add another layer of depth that traditional non-visual authors don't have access to in their work. The episode is available for a further 20 days on the BBC's website and includes and extended interview with Mr Gibbons. http://bbc.in/2lxYgBx
Always a BIG THANK YOU to my patrons and supporters for supporting my endeavour and in bringing 28 exciting issues of Ramayana: The Thread of Luminance towards its exciting conclusion later in the year.
